Kevin has long been drawn to questions that sit at the intersection of economics, history, and politics. Marshfield’s sector-agnostic approach appealed to that interdisciplinary curiosity, offering the opportunity to study businesses across industries through the lens of long-term value investing.

Prior to joining the research team, Kevin spent two years at a hedge fund in Boston. Throughout college and graduate school, Kevin interned at multiple organizations, including the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Chatham Financial and Blood Cancer United. He is especially proud of his work at the latter organization, which adopted recommendations Kevin made regarding insurance coverage for cancer patients.

Outside of work, Kevin’s big passion is music. Having grown up playing the cello—in symphonic orchestras, pit orchestras and even touring China with an orchestra at age 13—Kevin still enjoys performing and attending classical concerts. He also loves films and film score performances (John Williams is a personal favorite). When he isn’t playing or listening to music, Kevin enjoys wandering through the city’s art museums, sitting down with a piece of Russian literature, or exploring both nearby and distant mountains.
