Sohail Bengali has 35 years of experience in the securities industry in a variety of sectors.  He was a managing director and partner at Stone & Youngberg, an investment bank based in San Francisco, for 27 years. While there, Sohail co-headed their fund management group and raised over $20 billion of capital for municipal and corporate infrastructure projects. Prior to his tenure at Stone & Youngberg, Sohail worked in project engineering for technology companies as well as at the World Bank.  

Sohail has been advising Marshfield on municipal debt credits since 2015. He remains an active alum of Swarthmore College. He is a member of Swarthmore’s investment committee and previously served as a member of the Board of Managers (2011-2015).  

An avid cyclist and windsurfer, Sohail has cycled across the US and Europe and sailed in many parts of the world. He says that he is inspired by the many cultures he experiences and the kindness of people he encounters on his travels and explorations.
