For over 15 years, Amie Perl worked in strategy and operations at social mission-driven businesses in the Washington metropolitan area. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Little Leaves Behavioral Services, an autism services provider that she helped grow from an early stage, venture capital-backed start-up to a multi-state, private equity-backed organization. She has also held roles in publicly traded companies.

When it was time for a career change, Amie was drawn to Marshfield’s investment philosophy as it aligns closely with what she believes is important for long-term value creation. Moreover, Amie is a perfect fit for Marshfield’s Research Team: she is a Philomath, or someone who loves learning and studying (in fact, she was overjoyed to have recently learned this word); she asks insightful questions (some might say incessantly, but we mean that in the best way); and, as a triplet, she has been a big believer in the power of teamwork literally since the day she was born.

Amie is still helping mission-driven organizations through her work on the boards of the Edlavitch DC JCC and the National Autism Law Center. In the little free time she has left, she loves to explore the mountains (either hiking or skiing, depending on the weather), to cook, and to spend time with family. Amie’s impulse to learn about the world extends to meeting new people. If you end up sitting next to her on a plane or train, be prepared! You may be surprised at how easily she will coax your life story out of you before the trip is over.
