Melissa Vinick

Principal

B.S., Villanova University

Melissa Vinick helms the operations team and, as Head Trader, makes sure that the purchase and sale decisions made by the research team are executed efficiently and effectively. She also manages all things fixed income, including cash as well as corporate and municipal bonds. Melissa particularly enjoys overseeing client relationships, whose centrality to how Marshfield does business first attracted her to the firm. In all she does, Melissa relies on her decades of experience in the world of money management, including her prior work on PNC Bank’s taxable fixed income trading desk.

Appropriately enough for the avid (and loyal) sports fan—she has held Villanova basketball season tickets for over 20 years—we think of Melissa as Marshfield’s point guard. In the sometimes rough and tumble world of trading, Melissa understands when to throw an elbow, when to take a shot, and when to pass—each of which she executes without breaking a sweat.

Outside the office, Melissa serves on Pennsylvania State University’s Kappa Kappa Gamma Advisory Board, is involved with the both the Northern Virginia and the Philadelphia Alumni Association, and supports Heroes Against Childhood Cancer. She has also mentored two Augustinian Scholars at Archbishop Carroll High School and spent a year teaching English in Japan.

Melissa joined the Marshfield team in 1995 and became a principal in 1998.
